Clayton Kershaw is pitching today. That guy is pretty good.

There will be four playoff baseball games going on today, and sadly, still none of them are going to be involving the Orioles. Not to beat a dead horse, but I’m definitely not over it yet. It’s going to be a hard thing to get over.

Especially tough to think about it after seeing how Cole Hamels failed yesterday against the Blue Jays. Sure, the Orioles weren’t any good against lefties this year, so they might not have done the same, but he was just so bad yesterday, they would have had to take advantage of that, right? Maybe.

The games will probably not be running continuously all through the day, though it’s technically possible if they last long enough. The first game starts at 1pm and the fourth game starts at 9pm. That is a lot of significant baseball in one day. Enjoy it while it lasts, for the long, dark, cold offseason will be upon us before long.

Here are today’s scheduled games:

American League Division Series

Blue Jays at Rangers, 1pm TBS

Starting pitchers: J.A. Happ (TOR), Yu Darvish (TEX)

Toronto leads, 1-0

Red Sox at Indians, 4:30pm TBS

Starting pitchers: David Price (BOS), Corey Kluber (CLE)

Cleveland leads, 1-0

National League Division Series

Dodgers at Walgreens, 5:30pm Fox Sports 1

Starting pitchers: Clayton Kershaw (LAD), Max Scherzer (WAL)

First game of series

Giants at Cubs, 9pm Fox Sports 1

Starting pitchers: Johnny Cueto (SF), Jon Lester (CHC)

First game of series

Kershaw vs. Scherzer in the playoffs is pretty much why everyone gets hyped for the postseason. Maybe with the game starting at 5:30, many Washington fans will actually stay beyond the seventh inning.
