I think Stacey's FanPost Friday idea is awesome, and I love nothing more than explaining why I hate other baseball teams. So, without further ado, here are the top 3 teams I hate losing to, other than the Yankees and Red Sox, in ranked order:
3. Blue Jays. (Previous Ranking: #1)
The Canadians have slipped from their decades-long dominance in sore loser rankings. It's not so much that my bitterness over the emotional injuries of the late '80's and early 90's have faded, and more that others have really just outdone themselves to rise above them in the rankings. If both teams are competitive in the division, expect to see them back in the top spot again by next year.
2. Royals (Pre-2014 Ranking: #29)
You know the story. Our lovable, basement dwelling brethren betrayed us, and out-underdogged the 2014 O's to deny us our best shot at the WS since I was in high school. Then they had the balls to get cocky and win the whole thing the next year. F these assholes.
1. Nationals. (Previous Ranking: #3)
Once upon a time, the Nationals generally sucked, our respective ownership groups were not engaged in costly litigation, and I didn't live in DC and have to listen to a bunch of band-wagoners talk about Bryce Harper all the time (including, sadly, my beloved significant other). Conditions have changed.
