It's still mighty cold out there in Baltimore, at least as far as baseball weather goes. As Buck Showalter said yesterday, "We play games. It's what we do." It doesn't seem like it would be a very fun game to attend, though it is "Kids Opening Day," so if you know a kid who is there, or are there with a kid, I hope you and they have a good time.
Maybe the Orioles will even win this game to help you have a good time. It's a strange lineup that continues to have no Adam Jones. What it does have is Hyun Soo Kim for the first time this year. What's he going to do after sitting on the bench for five days? I really hope he gets at least one hit, or at least gets on base safely. A walk would be a positive development also.
It's also the first O's start for Vance Worley. I have no idea whatsoever what to expect from that guy, but hopefully he can do well today in his debut. It is kind of cool how the Orioles are the last remaining undefeated team in MLB, and it would be cooler still if they could keep that going for at least one more day.
