Friday Orioles lineup: The ninth different lineup used in ten O's games

Every day it's something different in the Orioles lineup, and today is no exception - though at least Adam Jones remains healthy enough to play.

On Friday night, the Orioles will be playing their tenth game of the season, and they'll be using their ninth different batting order in the process. They have not repeated since using identical lineups for the first two games of the season.

Of course, a big part of that is a result of Adam Jones missing so many games. Things would have stabilized much sooner if not for that. But even with Jones back, there's variance, with different lineup choices to be made for facing left-handed and right-handed starting pitchers.

Also, Matt Wieters has yet to catch two straight games on consecutive days. That pattern continues today. Wieters is out of the lineup after catching yesterday. It all makes for a daily jumble.

The order for tonight as they'll be facing Texas lefty Martin Perez:

1. Joey Rickard - LF
2. Manny Machado - 3B
3. Adam Jones - CF
4. Chris Davis - 1B
5. Mark Trumbo - DH
6. J.J. Hardy - SS
7. Jonathan Schoop - 2B
8. Nolan Reimold - RF
9. Caleb Joseph - C

That's supporting Vance Worley, who hopefully won't need all the help that he can get. Texas has stacked four lefties in the lineup against Worley. That's a lot of lefties.

How do you feel about the Orioles chances of stopping their losing streak at two games and getting back into the win column tonight?
