Norfolk Tides 1, Louisville Bats (Get it?) 4
Old friend Tim Adlemen shut down the Tides over seven innings. Recent Bowie transplants Garabez Rosa and Trey Mancini were 0-9 with five strikeouts between them and the team was 0-7 with RISP. Not much to get hype about with Mancini's Triple-A debut there.
In a rare twist, Singlin' Henry Urrutia doubled. Christian Walker had a pair of singles. The pitching for the Tides was not particularly good or bad, but simply didn't do enough to win on this day.
Bowie Baysox 6, Richmond Flying Squirrels 8
After a weathering a couple big innings early on, the Baysox kept chipping away and may have pulled it out with a couple more innings to work with. Jayson Aquino was pretty bad. The Dominican lefty allowed eleven hits and seven runs in four innings.
"King" Julio Borbon was 4-5 and Quincy Latimore singled, homered and walked. If you happen to be wondering, "what happened to that charming young Joey Terdoslavich," he was 0-3 with a walk. The Baysox were 2-12 with RISP.
