Opening Day Bird Droppings

Well, guys, we made it! I know there was regular season baseball yesterday, but THIS is Orioles Opening Day. Boog's, Natty Boh, Gary Thorne, Jim Hunter's stylish orange tuxedo...good times. Maybe for a few hours we can put aside this offseason's transaction weirdness and just revel in those few moments leading up to the first pitch where the scoreboard reads zero and the season is full of possibilities.

The Orioles open the 2016 season against the Twins and are maybe looking for a little payback from last year's sweep.

Happy birthday to Odrisamer Despaigne. Birthday wishes to spawn of Al, Steve Bumbry as well as Brad Komminsk and Jim Dedrick, who I'm told played for the Orioles. Eddie Watt notched 80 saves for the O's before the closer was really thing. He turns 74 today.
