Norfolk Tides 0, Gwinnett Barves 2

Odrisamer Despaigne went five innings in his Tides debut allowing one earned run and four hits. Despaigne struck out five and walked none. Xavier Avery wasn't able to carry over his Sarasota antics as he pulled an oh fer on the night. Christian Walker and Dariel Alvarez each had a pair of singles.

Perfectly cromulent performance from Uncle Joe Gunkel (5 IP/2 ER/0 BB/5 K). You'll take that every time. Dios mio, that offense, though...so many strikeouts. Unsightly. Brian Matusz was poor in relief. Trey Mancini started the year where he left off with his first home run of the season; Adrian Marin singled and walked; Lil Yaz doubled.

Frederick Keys 2, Myrtle Beach Pelicans 5

Mitch Horacek was battered for five earned runs, but struck out six.Jay Gonzalez paced the offense with a single, a triple and a steal. Jomar Reyes singled and walked while Jonah Heim failed to reach base.

Delmarva Shorebirds 4, Hagerstown Suns 0

Ryan Mountcastle homered in his Sally League debut in support of a shutout pooling the efforts of Lucas Long, Garrett Cleavinger, Ryan Meisinger and Christian Turnipseed. Long struck out four, walked none and induced ten groundouts.
