One good thing about baseball is that it doesn't have too much time built into the schedule to leave you stewing over a loss for long. Last night's game, ugh. Even remembering it makes me angry. But the Orioles will be right back at it this afternoon. Maybe I need longer to stew. I'm not ready to think about them again yet.
The weather may give me that time, as there seems to be some expectation that the game's start time will be delayed, and the game itself may even be postponed. A postponement may be for the best, all things considered, if it gives the O's the chance to avoid Chris Sale, who is pitching today for the White Sox.
Then again, you might have thought the same thing about the O's facing Mat Latos yesterday and we saw how that went. The facing Mat Latos part was fine. The rest... ahhhh, I can't stop thinking about it. Of course, Latos doesn't have the successful track record of Sale, so there's good reason to be less optimistic about Sale.
