The Orioles will supposedly actually get tonight's game in against the Twins. Yesterday's was rained out even though by game time there was apparently never actually any rain. Well, that's pretty annoying. It happens. Weather is weird.
As it happens, they're fielding the same lineup they would have used yesterday. That's probably because the Twins are using the same pitcher they would have used yesterday - Jose Berrios, who was the #16 prospect in baseball before this season began.
The Orioles will not be using the same pitcher. Kevin Gausman gets the nod rather than Tyler Wilson, who will instead go tomorrow. The reason for that is pretty simple. Why push back Gausman if you don't absolutely have to? They've done enough screwing around with Gausman.
Entering tonight's game, the O's are tied with the Red Sox for the division lead. Boston hosts Oakland. If the Orioles win, they stay on top. If they lose, they might fall out of first again. The last place Yankees are six games back. That has nothing to do with tonight's game. I just wanted to say "last place Yankees."
