O's minors roundup, 5/14

O's affiliates dropped all four games yesterday, including a pair of 1-0 losses. Ouch.

Norfolk 0, Buffalo 1
"Norfolk got an impressive start from Ariel Miranda and two doubles from Christian Walker, but five Buffalo pitchers combined on a seven-hit shutout as the Bisons blanked the Tides 1-0 Saturday night at Harbor Park."

Bowie 4, Erie 5
"The Baysox got a strong start from Jayson Aquino who allowed just two runs in six innings. Bowie also got into Erie's pen early as Seawolves starter Lucas Harrell exited after 111 pitches in just 4 and 2/3rd innings. The majority of the game was played in a light rain shower."

Frederick 3, Myrtle Beach 11
"The Myrtle Beach Pelicans scored eight times and sent 14 men to bat in the top of the fifth to defeat the Frederick Keys 11-3 on Saturday night at Nymeo Field. Ending with 16 hits, Myrtle Beach set new season-highs for runs and hits while five different players recorded multi-hit games."

Delmarva 0, Greensboro 1
"Brian Gonzalez dominated Greensboro in his first six career starts. Tonight's one run, four hit performance would've ordinarily been enough for a streaking Shorebirds offense, but Delmarva stranded 10 and never came up with a clutch hit in a 1-0 loss at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium on Saturday night."
