Believe it or not, a quarter of the baseball season is gone. Through 41 games, the Orioles sit in first place of the AL East and 11 games above .500 with a record of 26-15. If you multiply that by four, the Birds are on pace for a little more than 100 wins. Imagine that, an Orioles team with a triple digit win total. Whoa!
Wins like last night really make you think it is possible.
Your #Orioles are 1st in the AL East and boast the highest winning percentage in the American League! #VoteOrange pic.twitter.com/qdGelsA9ct

Wins like this get me thinking. The '12 and '14 Orioles had that extra something to win the "WTF? They won THAT?" games. Maybe this year too

The 2016 version of the Baltimore ball club may be the best group of Orioles in a few decades. They have the young studs, the reliable veterans, a lock down bullpen and a rotation that is more than pulling its weight so far. This is with key guys like J.J. Hardy on the DL and Ubaldo Jimenez struggling.
Of course, there is still plenty of time for all of this to collapse in on itself. They could be the 2005 Orioles all over again, but something tells me this group won't let that happen.
Let's get the sweep!
