Norfolk 0, Scranton/WB 4
The Tides' bats were as cold as the O's had been earlier in the week, and garnered just four hits over the game. Odrisamer Despaigne didn't do the team any favors, lasting just 3.0 IP while giving up three runs and six hits and a walk and taking 74 pitches to do it.
Bowie 1, Altoona 6
Much like Norfolk, Bowie fell due to cold bats and bad starting pitching. David Hess lasted only five innings, and the team had nearly as many double plays hit into (3) as hits for the game (5). That's not gonna work.
Frederick 1, Carolina 3
Lucas Long managed to make it through six innings, giving up 3 runs, but (stop me if you've heard this before) the bats went cold and went 0-for-10 with runners on base.
Delmarva 5, Lakewood 8
And to complete the quartet of futility, the Shorebirds lost with their best starter on the mound. Ofelky Peralta gave up five runs on seven hits in just five innings, and the 'Birds were in a hole they could never quite fill. Ricardo Andujar went 3-for-4 on this night and three other 'Birds had two hits each. D.J. Stewart was not one of them, going 1-for-5.
