Orioles Game 65 Game Thread: at Red Sox, 7:10

Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The last time the Orioles went up against Red Sox knuckleballer Steven Wright, he pitched a complete game against them on Memorial Day. The Orioles didn't get very good pitching on that particular occasion so they never really had a chance.

Maybe it will go better today with Kevin Gausman pitching. The young O's pitcher is still winless on the season, although that's not so much his fault as the fact that the offense just basically refuses to score whenever he pitches. The combination of that with the Wright knuckleball situation is a bit worrisome. But the good news is that whatever happens in this game, the Orioles will be in first place in the AL East at the end of the night. The only question is whether they're up by two games or whether it's a tie.
