It's amazing how fast the good feelings from winning a series can fade, isn't it? The Orioles were riding high and now just one game later it feels like things are a mess again. Mike Wright earned his latest demotion. Ubaldo Jimenez can't even do mop-up duty without requiring assistance.
Oh, and here comes another knuckleballer - though R.A. Dickey isn't doing as well as Steven Wright, does it even matter? I'm sure the Orioles will still manage to be totally helpless against him. And meanwhile, the Orioles starting pitcher today is Yovani Gallardo... so that's just going to fill you with good feelings.
If the Orioles lose this game, there is the potential for a three way tie atop the AL East tonight. At the very least, if the Orioles lose, they will be tied with the Blue Jays. Hopefully the Orioles can keep finding ways to get back on the horse right when you start to get bummed out about them. They've been good at doing this so far this year, which is why they're in first place after 66 games. There are still 96 left to play, though. A lot can happen in 96 games.
