It is the final game of the unofficial “first half” of the 2016 MLB season. It would be great to see the Orioles go out on a high note, win their 51st game of the season, take the series from the Angels and go into the All-Star break with a smile.
On paper, it sure feels like they should be able to do that. Chris Tillman reasserted himself last time out, and Tim Lincecum is looking very much “over the hill”. In addition, the fans HAVE to be pumped for the Adam Jones JUMBO baseball card giveaway, right? Eh.
Some quick notes from O’s Twitter:
ODay still not sure when will throw off mound. Said hamstring feels better. Headed to Sarasota during break #orioles

Mark Trumbo's 28 homers is tied for 3rd most by an O at AS break (1 to go). Brady Anderson 30 in 1996 & Chris Davis 37 in 2013.

Trumbo's HR was the Orioles 135th HR before the All-Star break. New club record, previous 134 in 1996.
