Frederick Keys 11, Winston Salem Dash 7
D.J. Stewart walked, singled, homered, stole a base and drove in four runs. That's the stuff that Orioles scouts were looking for when they recommended the FSU alum to the Warehouse brain trust. Stewart is slashing an overall solid line of .298/.412/.491, but is absolutely crushing righties to the tune of .371/.476/.629. Newish O Franderlin Romero had another rough outing as he allowed eleven base runners and six earned runs in 3.2 innings. Ryan Meisinger logged another scoreless outing and is yet to be scored on since his promotion.
Aberdeen Ironbirds 5, Brooklyn Cyclones 6 (11)
The Ironbirds weren't able to hold things together in defense of another solid outing from Alex Wells. The young Aussie allowed two earned runs in six innings without allowing a single free pass. His ERA is down to 1.76. Cole Billingsley doubled, homered and k'd thrice. Sounds like a longtime adherent to the organization's hitting philosophy.
