Bowie Baysox 9, Hartford Yard Goats 10
After being staked to a four run lead, Jayson Aquino was unable to keep the Yard Goats off the scoreboard. Aquino departed having allowed seven earned runs in 3.2 innings. Tanner Scott allowed four baserunners and two earned runs in an inning of work. Drew Dosch has slashed .302/.361/.509 this month and homered out of the leadoff spot tonight. In his second rehab game with the Baysox, Hyun Soo Kim homered and singled. Kim is reportedly set to be activated prior to Tuesday's game. Chance Sisco was 3-5. The Baysox came within one and loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth, but Adrian Marin struck out to end the game.
Frederick Keys 1, Winston-Salem Dash 10
Not a whole lot to say about this one. David Richardson got it even worse than Aquino without the benefit of an offense.
Delmarva Shorebirds 0, Kannapolis Intimidators 9
Continuing a trend, Francisco Jimenez got rolled. Jimenez allowed thirteen baserunners and seven runs in 4.1 innings. Following Jimenez, Jesus Liranzo turned in his seventh straight scoreless outing. Liranzo's been quite good this season, as his 46 strikeouts in 34+ innings indicate. Yermin Mercedes has been absolutely on fire this month (.392/.461/684) and shows no sign of slowing down. Mercedes doubled and walked twice.
Norfolk was off and Aberdeen was postponed. Full boxscores from these games, the Dominican Summer League and the Gulf Coast League are available here.
