Orioles Game 83 Game Thread: at Dodgers, 10:10

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The good news is that this game is the last of the 10 o'clock start times. The bad news is that with the way the Orioles have been playing lately, you might rather have the easy excuse to give up on them and stop watching because you have to go to sleep.

It's not pretty and it probably won't be pretty today. Dodgers starter Kenta Maeda has been very good in his MLB debut season. Chris Tillman has been very bad over his last three starts, posting an 8.59 ERA in those games - though it could have been worse as the Orioles managed to win two of the games.

At least Maeda isn't a lefty. That's about the only saving grace. I wish I could feel better about the Orioles right now, since it's great that earlier tonight they had five players named as All-Stars. And they're in first place, too! Things are better when the Orioles are in first place. But they're now only up by two games and if they don't start pitching better, that two games won't last for long.
