O’s MilB 8⁄12 - Shorebirds get clipped

Norfolk 4, Toledo 7

David Hale got touched up for four runs in 4.1 innings, and Tom Gorzelanny gave up three in 0.2 IP of relief. That’s not very relieving, Tom. Mike Yastrzemski went 3-for-5.

Bowie 0, Richmond 4

Jayson Aquino had himself a day, going 7.0 IP and allowing just two runs. He had six strikeouts and did give up a home run. No Baysox hitter had more than one hit.

Frederick 8, Potomac 7

Mitch Horacek did not have himself a day, as he gave up 11 hits and five runs (three earned) in just 4.2 IP. Austin Wynns went 3-for-6 in the win.

Delmarva 1, West Virginia 12

Jhon Peluffo had an even worse night for the Shorebirds, giving up eight runs (six earned) on six hits in just 2.1 IP. Ouch. Ryan Mountcastle went 2-for-4.

Aberdeen 2, Lowell 0

Alex Wells continued to impress, going 5.0 IP scoreless allowing just one hit with no walks and five strikeouts. Austin Hays had a home run.
