The last time the Orioles played the Astros, they struck out about one million times over three games. This time, they will play the Astros for four games. Does that mean two million strikeouts? Let's hope not.
Opportunity presents itself to the O's: The Red Sox, whom they have fallen behind after the last two games, lost earlier on Thursday. The O's can at least draw themselves back level for second place at 1.5 games behind Toronto, if they win tonight.
If they are going to win tonight, they will have to overcome their latent hate for Kevin Gausman, as expressed in their never scoring runs for him, ever. And of course Gausman will need to help himself out by pitching like he is supposed to be able to pitch.
