Orioles Game 105 Game Thread: vs. Rangers, 7:05

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Today is the first day of the post-trade deadline Orioles. They're going to look a lot like the pre-trade deadline Orioles because Wade Miley isn't starting until Thursday and Steve Pearce isn't in the starting lineup either. There will be a new look to the Rangers, though, with both Carlos Beltran and Jonathan Lucroy in the lineup for them. I expect Beltran will hit five home runs in this series.

There are now three teams within one game of the American League East lead. The Orioles have that lead, and yet by the end of the night there could be a three way tie, depending on how other games go elsewhere. Wouldn't that be something crazy? Well, hopefully the Orioles win so there won't be any problems like that.

At one time I was very scared of the Orioles facing Yu Darvish in a very important game, but that was back in 2012 before Joe Saunders came along. Darvish is pretty good but so is Dylan Bundy. Hopefully Bundy can show off more of the talent he's showed in early innings of some of his starts before now. The O's could sure use it.
