About Last Night

Orioles lose despite historic first-inning home run barrage - Yahoo! Sports
"One day after hitting six homers in a blowout win against the Astros, the Baltimore Orioles offense picked right up with a home run barrage that had never been seen before in Major League Baseball history." And STILL manages to lose the game, because oh my goodness can we talk about how bad Wade Miley is.

Wade Miley after O's loss: "I flat out stunk" - Steve Melewski

"It was terrible, you know, it’s embarrassing for that to happen," Wade Miley said. "I flat out stunk. Simple as that. Everything I threw was middle and to a team like that I mean, you expect them to do what they did." Well, I suppose it's a better approach than "I threw good pitches, they just hit them."

Orioles must regroup after discouraging loss to Houston - Steve Melewski

"Last night they became the first team to ever homer four times before making one out. That was according to STATS, LLC since 1900. They became the first team this year to have produced four homers in two innings. They did that in the first inning last night and the seventh inning April 15 at Texas." And still lost the game. How did they lose that game last night? Mind boggling..

What do we do now

Orioles' Tyler Wilson: Optioned to Triple-A - CBSSports.com

Orioles' Darren O'Day exacerbated shoulder injury by pitching through it in Oakland - Baltimore Sun

"I felt the pain Monday night [in Oakland on Aug. 8]," O’Day said. "I pitched a scoreless inning, we ended up losing, 3-2. I felt it against Billy Butler. I threw a fastball away, and had a really stiff shoulder the next few days. Tried to manage it, but going out and pitching didn’t make it better." Damn you, Billy Butler!!!

Orioles' Chris Tillman over his 'freak' injury, ready to start Saturday - Baltimore Sun

"I think it’s more of a freak thing," he said. "If I knew what caused it, it’d be much easier, but I really don’t think it was pitching. It must have been just something I had done. I’m not saying I did something stupid that did it, but sleeping, sitting wrong. I don’t know. But I feel pretty good about it. I’ve got to stay on top of it and not let it hang around too long. I don’t think it’s anything big that I really need to worry about."

Orioles' Brian Duensing: Slated for GCL appearance - CBSSports.com

"The left-hander is ready to return to active competition with the Orioles' GCL affiliate, two months after undergoing surgery to remove bone chips from his elbow. Duensing will likely be brought along gradually through the minor league system with an eye toward an early-September return to the major league roster."

Ben McDonald on Dylan Bundy: "For a guy that doesn’t have many minor league innings at all, and doesn’t have many big league innings, I felt like he looked really good, he looked poised to me. I love his stuff."

My dog he turned to me and he said. Let's head back to Tennessee, Jed
