Norfolk 2, Durham 3 (F/11)
Mike Wright went 5.0 IP and gave up just one run on seven hits, one of which was a home run. But the bats didn’t get much going, and they fall in 11. L.J. Hoes was the only Tides hitter with even two hits.
Bowie 1, Akron 4
And the offense was even worse for Bowie, as they managed to put on eight base runners (seven hits and a walk) but scored just one. That’s actually kind of hard to do. Garabez Rosa was the only Baysox player with even two hits.
Frederick 6, Potomac 4
That’s more like it. Franderlin Romero went 5.2 IP with just one run surrendered, and Austin Wynns went 3-for-5 to spark the offense.
Delmarva 2, Lakewood 8
Cristian Alvarado probably deserved better, giving up four runs in 6.0 IP, but the Shorebirds offense stayed dormant. Ricardo Andujar was the only ‘Birds player to have even two hits.
Aberdeen 7, Tri-City 4
Lucas Humpal went 3.0 with just one run and Cody Dube got the win with his scoreless 3.0 IP that followed. Preston Palmeiro went 1-for-3 with two walks and two RBI.
