It is Wednesday night.
The Orioles have just beaten the Boston Red Sox, 1-0, to soar a game ahead of the Blue Jays for the #1 wild card spot in the American League and they are just a game back in the American League East. Kevin Gausman outdueled possible AL Cy Young winner Rick Porcello and absolutely dominated the Red Sox lineup with eight innings of four hit ball and Mark Trumbo blasted his 42nd home run of the year out of Fenway Park for the game's only run.
The Orioles just went 6-3 on a nine game road trip that included six games against their two closest competitors. Eleven of their final 17 games will be played at home. Things are good in Birdland tonight.
YOU KNOW WHAT MUST BE DONE.
