The Orioles need to win tonight. Like, they really need to win. It would behoove them to win. Really.

Here we go again, friends. The Orioles will again face the Blue Jays and again we will all all wait to see if they will rise to the occasion or if they will be steamrolled. I know what I think is going to happen and I know what I hope will happen and they are not the same thing.

If the Orioles lose tonight they will not only be three games back of the Jays for the first wild card, but they run the risk of ending the night tied with the Tigers for the second wild card. The Tigers have Michael Fulmer pitching for them, so that doesn't bode well for their opponents, the Indians, or for the Orioles.

Francisco Liriano is starting for the Blue Jays and while he has not had a good year, he has been good of late for the Blue Jays. Also, he's a lefty. So there's that.
