There is something about Ubaldo Jimenez pitching a complete game that just puts a person in an optimistic frame of mind. If Ubaldo can do that, maybe the Orioles have a chance! Well it turns out that optimism is similar to momentum, in that it all depends on the next day's starting pitcher. Because for yours truly, the optimism ran out when I saw that Yovani Gallardo is pitching today.
Is that fair of me? Probably. But I'm gonna root for him anyway. He pitched decently enough against the Blue Jays, didn't he? Maybe he, like Ubaldo, can keep it up.
