Wednesday Bird Droppings: Is it really still January?

Donnie Hart is working to improve, a number of minor leaguers are back in the fold, and more!

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Greetings Camden Chatters. We're 68 days from Opening Day, which is still entirely too long. There have actually been two players to wear 68 for the Orioles. Parker Bridwell donned it last year, and in 2013 it belonged to Alex Burnett.

Do you think the Orioles have any more moves in them? I sure hope so, if only for the opportunity to talk about something. Until then, let's talk about the links:

Hart ready to do some experimenting in spring training - School of Roch
Donnie Hart wants to work on being better against righties. I am in favor of that.

OF Options For The Orioles - Baltimore Sports and Life
More possible guys that the Orioles could sign for the outfield. What do you think of Ryan Raburn?

Pitchers with the Most Effective Curveballs - Camden Depot
It's a good thing Yovani Gallardo is gone.

Orioles announce nine minor league signings, including Bobby Bundy and Sharlon Schoop - Baltimore Sun
If you're the sort who likes to talk about minor league signings of players who won't make the big leagues, this article is for you.

Hammel is the best available free agent starting pitcher and here are his best fits - CBSSports.com
Do you think the Orioles need another starting pitcher? This article says they won't spend the money now that they have Mark Trumbo. But if they would, would you want Jason Hammel?

Is today your birthday? Happy birthday! You have three birthday buddies, most notably Wally Bunker, who turns 72 today. Mr. Bunker was a starting pitcher for the Orioles from 1963-68, pretty good years to be an Oriole. Also born today are Richie Lewis and Francisco Melendez, two short timers who played for the Orioles in 1998 and 1989 respectively.
