The American League Championship Series can't go any farther. It all comes down to Game 7 between the Yankees and Astros.

This one is for all the marbles, or at least all of the American League marbles. The American League Championship Series between the Yankees and Astros has gone as far as it can go, all the way to Game 7. That's despite the Astros opening with a 2-0 lead and the Yankees storming back to a 3-2 edge. Now it's 3-3 and this is it.

The home team has won every game of this series so far. That could be heartening for the Astros faithful. On the other hand, pitching for the Astros is Charlie Morton, a relative jabroni when compared to CC Sabathia. Morton got lit up earlier in this series, so hopefully he's able to fix whatever it was that had the Yankees piling up runs on the scoreboard against him.

The Dodgers await the winner, whoever it is. The World Series begins on Tuesday night. It could be a matchup between teams who won 100+ games in the regular season, if the Astros win, or it could be a kind of throwback World Series between the Yankees and Dodgers. Should be fun either way, but it'll be more fun for me if the Yankees lose tonight, so go ahead and make sure that happens, Houston. Thanks.
