National League Wild Card Game open thread

The Rockies travel to Arizona to play the Diamondbacks in the NL wild card game tonight.

If you asked me to name all 30 MLB teams off the top of my head, the Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks are probably two of the last teams I would get around to naming. Most days, I don't think about them at all.

Tonight, the baseball world has nothing to do but think about them, though, because they're playing the NL wild card game and there's nothing else on. It's going to be weird to watch a baseball game where I really don't care at all who wins.

If the Rockies win, good for them. If the Diamondbacks win, good for them. Both would need luck going on to face the Dodgers. Tonight's contest is being played in Arizona and will air on TBS.

Two ex-Orioles are in the Rockies lineup. Although he did strike out a lot, no one could have any bad memories of Mark Reynolds. If he is clutch in the playoffs, cool. If Gerardo Parra finds playoff success elsewhere, I might get a bit more annoyed about that. Colorado has just a .703 OPS on the road. The Rockies big $70 million signing, Ian Desmond, isn't even in the lineup for this game. Baseball is weird.
