I came to be an Oriole fan from living close to Bluefield, WV, longtime home of the O's rookie league affiliate. Every summer my family made one trip to see the O's in Baltimore, and in the summer of 2004 as an eight year old we managed to go to the 1980's turn-back-the-clock game against Texas. Orioles wore uniforms from the 1983 season and since I had not really seen it before, I just remember how weird the cartoon bird logo looked. Anyways, the Orioles won 3-1 and Rodrigo Lopez looked great in an otherwise forgettable game and season, but it was so cool as a kid.
