All those who have complaining about the absence of Hyun Soo Kim from the lineup, take heart, for Kim is in the lineup tonight against Blue Jays righty Aaron Sanchez. Not in the lineup for the Jays is Josh Donaldson, which is unfortunate for them since he is basically their only player who has been hitting in the first week and a half of the season.
Probably fortunately for the Jays is that they get to square off against Wade Miley tonight. If he's not the cure for what ails their offense, then maybe things really are that bad for them. But I have a feeling he will be the cure for what ails their offense because I've watched him pitch. We all remember that game where Miley single-handedly ruined all the good feelings from the Orioles hitting four first inning home runs on the night where they were celebrating the 1966 World Series champions.
Sanchez is good. Miley is not. Unless you believe in the reverse lock theory, the likely outcome of this game is rather clear. But maybe things really are that bad for the Jays offense and maybe Miley will surprise me with a good outing. Stranger things have surely happened.
