Orioles prospects 4/18: Baysox, Keys and Shorebirds win

Cedric Mullins homers, Gabriel Ynoa has another tough outing, Norfolk is the only team to lose and all three victorious teams pound out 10+ hits on Tuesday.

Norfolk Tides 3, Buffalo Bisons (Blue Jays) 4

The Buffalo Bisons defeated Norfolk sending the Tides International League record to 4-9.

Henry Urrutia was 0-4 with two strikeouts and is batting .000 on the young season. Pedro Alvarez was 2-4 (.196), Robert Andino 1-4 (.245) and Chance Sisco 0-4 (.242). Paul Janish was 1-1 and is batting .367.

Gabriel Ynoa fell to 0-3 with a 7.30 ERA. He gave up seven hits and three runs in 4.2IP.

Richmond (Giants) 1, Bowie Baysox 4

Bowie knocked off the Flying Squirrels improving to 9-4 on the season. Brandon Barker (1-0) picked up the ‘W’ and Jordan Johnson (0-1) took the loss. Johnson went seven innings, yielding four runs, three earned, with one walk and five strikeouts.

Potential star CF Cedric Mullins was 1-3 with a HR and 3 RBI, raising his average to .412.

Frederick Keys 4, Winston-Salem (White Sox) 2

The Keys upended the Dash seeing Cody Sedlock go to 2-0 and Louie Lechich falling to 0-1. Frederick SS Ryan Mountcastle, all of 20 years old, was 3-5 and is hitting .320.

Greensboro (Miami) 3, Delmarva Shorebirds 13

The Shorebirds had 14 hits and 13 runs in a victory against the Grasshoppers. Eight of nine players for Delmarva had hits, and seven of nine scored runs. Preston Palmeiro was 1-5 with 2 RBI and is batting .186.
