The Richmond Flying Squirrels defeated Bowie on a Carlos Garcia ground ball single to right that scored Hunter Cole. Bowie (9-9) had 12 hits, but also two errors, in the loss. The Flying Squirrels record is 7-10.

Baysox LHP John Means pitched six innings, giving up three hits, no runs and striking out five. His season ERA is 1.31. RHP Lucas Long (2-1), attempting to get the old school “Goose Gossage Style” three-inning save, took the loss going 2.2 innings and surrendering two runs. Undoubtedly, Goose appreciated the effort.

LF D.J. Stewart was 1-5, with a strikeout and six runners left on base. Baltimore native and CF Glynn Davis – the pride of the Community College of Baltimore County – was 0-4, stranding seven runners. On the night, Bowie struck out 10 times and stranded 30.

Reported attendance was 2,392 at The Diamond in Richmond, Virginia.
