Sunday Game Thread: Yankees at Orioles, 1:35 pm

CC Sabathia didn't have the greatest season last year, but he sure pitched well against the O's. Will that carry over to 2017? Let's hope not!

The Orioles are the last undefeated team in Major League Baseball, and if they hope to continue that trend, they'll need to beat arch-nemesis CC Sabathia. Sabathia pitched to a 2.30 ERA in five starts against Baltimore in 2016, and shut out the Birds for 7.0 IP on May 4th last year.

Wade Miley makes his season debut after Joey Rickard was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a "finger injury" to clear up a roster spot. Sounds like mid-1980s Washington Redskins roster shenanigans to me, but if MLB doesn't care, I sure don't.

Miley joked yesterday he's mad that Kevin Gausman got to pitch twice before he's gotten his first start. I sure hope he doesn't follow Gausman's example thus far this season. Although, honestly, if Miley gives the O's 5.2IP with 3ER, I'll gladly take it.

The Orioles go for the home sweep against the Yankees today. The Orioles won all three home series against the Bronx Bombers last year, but did not have a home series sweep. They can do that today with a win.
