All of the sudden, the Orioles are good again! Baseball is way more fun when your team is good, especially when they are in first place of the American League East.
Now some negative news: Ryan Flaherty has been placed on the 10-day DL with a shoulder injury. That means Paul Janish is up from Triple-A Norfolk and he is in the lineup today in place of J.J. Hardy. It's probably a smart move. Hardy needs more days off. If he keeps hitting like he has been, we may be seeing a whole lot of Janish or Flaherty.
It is a Sunday day game, so Welington Castillo is not behind the plate, but they have to keep his bat in the lineup, so he gets to DH while Caleb Joseph handles the defensive duties, which makes for a strong bench with Seth Smith, Hyun Soo Kim and Joey Rickard all available.
