The Orioles are back at home, and not a minute too soon, because things are really going horribly for them on the road this year. Is that situation going to improve any now that they're back at home? After all, it's pretty much the same team that's been failing on the road, just now they're playing in Baltimore. I guess we'll get a glimpse of that tonight.
It's hard to keep finding words to say about these guys. They're looking like a bad baseball team by playing a whole lot of bad baseball. They can't pitch, they can't field, and they're not hitting very well either. They're not doing much of anything well except losing. They've become very good at losing, since they have, after all, lost 23 of their last 33 games. How do you even do that? Very carefully.
Some more good news is that the Cardinals have been disappointing this season, particularly on the road, so maybe the Orioles will have some kind of advantage... even though the Cardinals have a good starting pitcher on the mound in Carlos Martinez, whereas the Orioles will only be starting a pitcher who we really, really wish was good: Kevin Gausman.
