What is the biggest problem facing the Orioles this season?

We all have that one thing that drives us crazy about the Orioles this year, even though we know there are many problems. What’s yours?

MLB: St. Louis Cardinals at Baltimore Orioles Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

A whole lot of things have gone wrong for the Orioles to tumble from their 22-10 start to the .500 record they’ve only just clawed their way back to having. On the nights where a bunch of those things are going wrong all at once, it feels like everything is hopeless and nothing with the O’s will ever be good again.

Although there’s no one magic answer that would make everything better, my experience in being around a bunch of O’s fans is that everybody has their own one thing that frustrates them the most. It’s the thing that, while it won’t solve all of the O’s woes, would at least leave you less sad or mad about the team if it wasn’t going wrong.

So my question for you today is exactly that:

What is the biggest problem facing the Orioles this season?

Maybe you’re just wishing that a certain struggling Oriole would be playing better this year. Maybe there’s a signing or trade that the Orioles made or didn’t make that eats at you night in and night out. It doesn’t have to be something from this season. You can go back as far as you like.

Maybe, if you own a certain sports radio station in the Baltimore area, the thing that bothers you the most is that Peter Angelos bought the Orioles. Maybe it’s something else entirely that has nothing to do with any of those things.

Mine is Kevin Gausman. Seriously, what the heck is his problem? When I think about the Orioles, even though I know better, the thing I come back to the most is that if only Gausman was living up to expectations, things would feel OK.

Whatever it is that you believe, I want to hear about it. I’ll be collecting the answers for another post later this week - although hopefully the Orioles have won a few games by then and all of the complaining will look a bit out of place.
