The Orioles are outside of civilization on Friday night, which means we will all have to wait an extra hour to get our dose of Orioles baseball when they take on the Rangers in Texas.
This may not be a bad thing in that it gives you another hour of your Friday night before Chris Tillman coming along to pitch will have any influence on your mood or enjoyment of this evening. Actually, we're all probably better off if we don't have the Orioles influencing our emotional state in the slightest... but if you're reading these words, that ship probably sailed, didn't it?
Maybe the Orioles can win this one. You never know. It seems like a win would probably be a necessary condition for their being able to pretend that they should not be sellers. When you're already five games below .500 and the trade deadline is less than 72 hours away, that's what happens. There are only 61 games left to play, too. At this point, even the 33-28 record needed to finish .500 feels like wishful thinking.
Are we having fun yet?
