Monday Bird Droppings: Where the Orioles are once again .500

Sweeps are fun, as long as the Orioles are on the right end of them. In today's links, more praise for Beckham and Mancini, and checking in on the players the O's got when they traded their international bonus money.

Despite being counted out many times (including by...uh...me), the Orioles somehow find themselves in the thick of the wild card hunt yet again with another chance at seizing a little more control of their destiny. After a disappointing series in Seattle where the Orioles lost by a a combined three runs, the Birds host the Mariners for three games at OPACY. If a sweep of the hated Red Sox doesn't get the lads fired up, I don't know what will.
