On this day in 1991, Joe Orsulak picked up his 20th outfield assist of the season. Eric Davis made his return to the Orioles lineup after missing two months while undergoing treatment for colon cancer on this day in 1997. In 2003, Rafael Palmeiro joined Sudlersville native Jimmie Foxx as the players in MLB history to have nine consecutive seasons of 35 homers and 100 RBI. Although Palmeiro's streak stretched back to his first stint in Baltimore, it wouldn't extend to his second. It's the 40th anniversary of this curious incident.
