Saturday night Orioles game thread: at Rays, 6:10

The Orioles have just two games left to play before it’s all over with. A lot of young guys are playing, including Miguel Castro starting, so maybe it will be interesting.

The good news for the Orioles is that September ends after today and the baseball season ends for them after tomorrow. Maybe that’s good news for us moreso than it’s good news for the Orioles. Not watching them any more is an increasingly appealing prospect.

Can they actually win one of the last two games? Maybe somehow, if one of them can eventually pitch without being horrible, and enough of them can start hitting without being horrible. That hasn’t been happening for much of this month. It’s not very inspiring for having hope for next year.

Anyway, the Orioles are pretty awful, but hopefully the weather is nice where you are and you can do something that will make you happy today. It’s OK if that’s not watching the Orioles. But hey, if you got that happiness in already and you feel like torturing yourself a bit, we’re here for you.
