Orioles prospects 9/5: The calm before the playoffs

Aberdeen rained out at home, Bowie and Frederick start the playoffs Wednesday

Aberdeen was the only team scheduled to be in action on the field Tuesday. But, they were rained out. In related minor league news around Birdland, Alex Wells was named the Jim Palmer Minor League Pitcher of the Year and Austin Hays was called up to Baltimore.

With three games to go in the regular season, Aberdeen (40-33) was rained out Tuesday night for their final home outing before hitting the road Wednesday and Thursday with two at Hudson Valley (Rays). First pitch for both of those games is 6:35ET at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, New York.
