Happy Sunday, Camden Chatters. It’s another slow day in Birdland, but one of our former residents is headed to the World Series! That’s right, the questionable-sliding, ankle-kicking, crotch-grabbing, corn-rowed Manny Machado did exactly what the Dodgers hoped for when they traded for him. He helped that team get back to the World Series for the second consecutive season.

We have a few days off from baseball before the Dodgers and Red Sox kick off the final leg of the postseason in Boston on Tuesday. Maybe in that time the Orioles will sign a GM? Probably not.

The headline is lovable villain, but the write up doesn't seem that lovable. I'm sure the Dodgers fans don't care, though.

Is today your birthday? Happy birthday! You have only one Orioles birthday buddy, and it’s one I’ve never heard of before today. Valmy Thomas had a five-year major league career in which he played 252 games. Eight of those games were with the 1960 Orioles where he went 1-for-16 with a walk. Mr. Thomas passed away in 2010 at the age of 84.
