Happy Sunday, Camden Chatters! I hope you’ve all finished your Christmas shopping and don’t have to go to the mall the day before Christmas Eve. If you do, well, godspeed.

There isn’t much going on in Birdland over the last few days and we shouldn’t expect anything to happen this week on account of the holidays. Thus, I have very little to say about the Orioles at this time. But stay tuned for thoughts if things ever start happening!

Is today your birthday? Happy birthday! You have just one Orioles birthday buddy, and that’s outfielder Dave May. May spent the first four of 12 major league seasons with the Orioles from 1967-1970. Today would have been his 75th birthday, as he passed away in 2012.

On this day in 1980 the Orioles signed free agent Jim Dwyer. It was truly a day that changed the course of franchise history.
