It’s hump day, Camden Chatters! But not just any hump day, it’s also the day before Opening Day. When you wake up tomorrow morning, there will be baseball that day. Even with a team that could end up as bad as the Orioles, that’s good news.
Maybe it’s just the start of baseball season that’s doing it, but I’m starting to think maybe our guys won’t even be that bad. Am I insane? There need to be a few breaks in the Orioles favor for things to work out, but it could happen. Right?
How many of you are heading to Baltimore for the festivities tomorrow? I’ll be there with Paul in our regular seats in section 334. And luckily the forecast has gotten better as the day gets closer. The National Weather Service says, “A chance of rain. Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.”

In addition to their new deal to allow kids under 10 in for free, the Orioles have added more in-park entertainment for them and will also have kid-sized items on the menu at the concession stands. I really hope their commitment to bringing in more kids and families lasts.

Is today your birthday? Happy birthday! You have three Orioles birthday buddies. It’s the 27th birthday of former Oriole Christian Walker, who is now in the D-Backs organization. Pitcher Shawn Boskie, who was on the 1997 team, turns 51. And Glenn Davis turns 57. In honor of his birthday I’ll just leave it at that.
