Three of the four Orioles affiliates were postponed Tuesday, while the Shorebirds lost a rain-shortened game.

Norfolk Tides vs. Lehigh Valley (Phillies) — POSTPONED

Inclement weather canceled the Tides’ matchup with the IronPigs. It’ll be made up as part of a doubleheader Wednesday at 12:05.

Bowie Baysox vs. Richmond (Giants) — POSTPONED

Bowie, too, was hit by rain, postponing the Baysox game against the Flying Squirrels. No makeup date has been announced.

Frederick Keys at Salem (Red Sox) — POSTPONED

The Keys were — you guessed it! — rained out in Salem. Fun times in the Orioles’ minor leagues tonight. The two teams will play a Wednesday doubleheader starting at 5:35.

Kannapolis (White Sox) 3, Delmarva Shorebirds 2 - 7 innings

Hey, an actual game was played! It’s a miracle. Even then, most of it was played in misty conditions and the last two innings were washed out entirely.

The Shorebirds found themselves on the losing end thanks to sloppy defense in the sixth. Two consecutive playable pop-ups dropped in safely, pushing ahead the go-ahead run for the Intimidators. After starting the season 11-2, the Shorebirds are 1-5 since.

Michael Baumann, ranked the Orioles’ No. 15 prospect on MLB.com, started for Delmarva but was chased after three innings, slogging through a 38-pitch third. He allowed two runs on four hits. Nobody stood out offensively for the Shorebirds, although leadoff man Kirvin “The Mosquito” Moesquit had an RBI double and scored a run on a wild pitch.
