It was obvious that this team had flaws before the season started. Even the most optimistic of Orioles fans were projecting a record a few shades over .500. After the additions of Andrew Cashner and Alex Cobb, no one was mistaking this team for a division challenger that would win over 90 games. In fact, it wouldn't have been surprising to see them lose 85 or 90 times.
But dang! These guys are on pace for over 120 LOSSES!!! How did this happen? How is everyone (expect Manny Machado) underperforming at the exact same time? We are back in the dark times a year ahead of schedule. This was supposed to be the last rodeo. This was supposed to be fun. This is not fun.
On the positive side of things, the Orioles should be wearing their orange jerseys tonight. That's always cool, right? I'm grasping at straws here, people. You gotta help me out. It's all we have.
