The Orioles are officially the worst team in baseball. Can they change that today?

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

Here we are again, Orioles fans.

The Orioles have lost six games in a row. Did you pick the over or the under for a 6.5-game losing streak in Camden Chat's preseason contest? I picked the under because I'm a naive dummy. "No way the Orioles will be bad enough to lose more than six games in a row," I thought. Well, it could happen today. And if it doesn't, it seems likely that the Orioles will lose at least seven straight games at some point this season.

The Orioles are also the worst team in baseball, officially, after the White Sox win on Friday moved them to 17-37, a game and a half better than the 17-40 Orioles.

Forty losses by June 1. Ugh. It still seems impossible.

Kevin Gausman will be on the mound hoping to snap the skid. Best of luck to him. He'll need it.
