Wednesday night gamethread: vs Mariners, 7:05 PM

The Orioles will try to win today to stop their losing streak at three, which really isn't a very long streak at all when you're the Orioles.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is another Orioles game tonight. Despite how terrible the Orioles are this year, they still insist on playing nearly every single day of the week. Where do they get the nerve?

Taking the mound for the Orioles will be ongoing disappointment Alex Cobb, who will only be an Oriole for another three and a half years. Maybe by the end of it his ERA will be under 6!

Danny Valencia is back in right field, because defense isn't a concern when your team is on pace to win 48 games. Or maybe they're on a pace to win 48 games because defense isn't a concern on this team. Chicken or the egg, amirite?
