Saturday night Orioles game thread: vs. Rangers, 7:15

The Orioles will try to avoid suffering their 70th loss before the All-Star break. This season is the worst.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

How are you guys feeling? Still hanging in there? Still watching the Orioles, for reasons that even you can't understand?

The O's are two games away from the much-needed All-Star break that will allow us to clear our heads and reassess our priorities in life. But first, they have two more games against the Rangers, who stole the opener on Friday night in this matchup of last-place teams.

The O's are continuing to shuffle their roster, but not in any way that inspires hope for the future. Chance Sisco was sent back to the minors late Friday night for the second time in a month. He was just 3-for-30 at the plate for the Orioles since they called him back up from his last demotion. As one of the few youngsters with potential on this trainwreck of a ball club, it's disappointing to see Sisco continually bounced around from the minors and majors...but also disappointing that he hasn't taken more advantage of the opportunities he's been given.

The Orioles' next loss will be their 70th of the season. Will it happen tonight or tomorrow, or can they stall it until after the All-Star break? This is what passes for excitement in this 2018 Orioles season.
